We created the entire site from scratch from the ground up using the Sandbox template as a base. All the ads and graphics were created by us except for the MGH Logos.

Goto Culebra.com is travel information site for the Island of Culebra off the coast of Peurto Rico. I had alot of fun doing this site, it initially didn't look anything like the outcome and I really got to exercise my photoshop skills here. The entire layout was pretty much made from scratch. The perspective is as if you are looking down at the ground. Now some of the items may seem out of place, not matching the perspective, this is not my fault, the client wanted to add certain elements regardless of if they were proportional to the other elements of the site. I wanted to try to make each graphic element have a purpose. The filofax serves as a welcome message, slideshow and the post it not links to a few external areas using Wordpress's blog roll. If you scroll down the post card is the main content area of the site. Beyond that is a nifty pair of sun glasses and map made in Photoshop, the sunglasses display the weather in its reflection, realtime from Culebra, PR. The map serves more as a graphical item but also links directly to an interactive maps section. The interactive maps on the site were made from scratch in Javascript. They link directly to blog posts. A custom write panel was created so that an admin could add blog posts and locations that correspond to areas on the map.

Focus Lighting

Focus Lighting is a project that was outsourced to me and my associate from the great guys over at Sourcelab. Our objective was simple, take the design that Sourcelab had created and turn it into a custom wordpress theme. Although a bit more complicated than that, we had to basically create an entirely custom solution, virtually turning wordpress into a whole new content management system making it as easy as possible for their client to upload portfolio projects to their site. We took the slideshowpro plugin and integrated it into wordpress using a dynamically driven flash slideshow powered by XML files populated from the wordpress database. Basically in English that means that the client is able to upload an image through the wordpress's backend and it will automatically appear in various locations based on custom check boxes, no manual uploading via FTP for images, everything is contained neatly in the backend of wordpress and the best part is that the flash slideshow is automatically generated. The client can upload an image, chose for it to be in the front page slideshow AND in the individual portfolio page. Slideshow pro was also very cool to work with and very versatile, one of the only flash objects I would bother to touch. A demo is available while the actual site is still in development.

Unleashed Humor is a comedy blog built from scratch, designed in Photoshop and built on Wordpress. Logo design, color scheme, shopping cart and custom functionality were all integrated into this site. Unleashed Humor is a site that stands to change the way we look at comedy, with its throw caution to the wind and total lack of political correctness in your fact attitude. This site was built with blog and ec-ommerce functionality in mind on the Wordpress v2.3 platform. I chose Wordpress because of its immense versatility, ease of use and minimal learning curve for my clients. It was ideal for this project as the client wanted to be able to sell his comedy books and have an interesting comedy site.

Verrico Associates is another environmental consulting and auditing agency, this one being a bit bigger. Verrico came to me through a mutual acquaintance with a request for a site that will help reflect their business and help get their services out there. VA went through many variations and was eventually completed with the look you see in this picture, however they have since changed the website's appearance since I worked on it. VA is another site I decided to use Joomla with as it is a very versatile system but can at times be overly complicated, this isn't necessarily a downside as it does offer advanced functionality compared to other CMS's out there.

NoMorePasting was a small and simple job for a friend of mine, refresh the look and feel of the existing website. NMP is a paste bin (what the heck is that? ) which allows you to paste long lines of code and in turn you receive a url that links to a unique page with that code. This is useful for if you are pasting code in a chat room (IRC), Instant Message or forum and such programs do not allow long lines or code or mess up the formatting.
